The House Intelligence Committee on Tuesday recessed a hearing with former Donald Trump aide Steve Bannon who, according to Rep. Mike Conaway (R-TX), refused to answer questions despite being subpoenaed by the congressional panel.

Bannon was subpoenaed (for the second time in a week) while testifying before the House intel panel early Tuesday after he reportedly refused to answer questions about the Trump administration or presidential transition. Despite being ordered to speak, Bannon continued to stonewall the panel. Ranking member Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) accused the White House of imposing a “gag order” on Bannon.
