Supreme Court to hear plea on Uttarakhand forest fires

Panic in Delhi's Connaught Place over suspicious bag

2 BDDS teams, along with one unit of C60 and one QAT of CRPF were deployed to search for explosives and claymore mines in Tipagad area of Gadchiroli. Today they found 6 pressure cookers filled with explosives and detonators and 3 claymore pipes filled with explosives and shrapnels were also found. The remaining 3 claymore pipes were without any explosives. Teams also found gunpowder in a plastic bag, medicines and blankets at the same spot. Total 9 IEDs and 3 claymore pipes were destroyed in situ by BDDS team. Remaining materials have been burnt on the spot. Teams are on the way back cross country to nearest outpost. Offence will be registered.

Two men lynched by mob in Meghalaya
Two persons were lynched in Meghalaya's Eastern West Khasi Hills district for allegedly trying to rape an 18-year-old woman, police said on Saturday.
The incident happened on Friday afternoon at Nongthliew village near district headquarters Mairang, they said. The woman alleged that she was in her home when the duo attacked her with a knife and tried to rape her.
